The guangdong Longtan 2*7MW Hydropower Project(hereafter refered to as "Longtan Projec") is a run-of-river hydropower project located in Longchuan County,Guangdong Province of the People's Repibublic of China. The purpose of the project activity is to generate renewable energy using clean hydropower technology and sell the output electricity into the grid.
The proposed 14 MW hydropower project will install two turbines of bulb-like water wheel run-through with each capacity of 7MW.
The expected annual get generation out put 53,460 megawatt-hours(MWh) electricity from the project will be transmitted to Jiekou 110KV substation and the exported to Guangdong Province Grid, which is connected to Southern China Power Grid.
Environmentally, the proposed project will also help to achieve the general target of reducing green house gas specified in the Kyoto Protocol.According to conservative estimation, the Longtan Project will annually reduce 45,088 CO2e by displacing the total electrcity out put of 53,460 MWh which would be otherwise generated from coal-fired power plants within the project boundary, Southern China Power Grid.
